I was born in Colorado but call Nevada my home. My family moved to northern Nevada when I was around 5 years old. I grew up on several Nevada ranches, and having them as my playground was the best. My education took place in Elko at local schools, graduating from Elko High and moving on to receive my bachelors degree in Education from Great Basin College. I did, however, venture out of state to obtain my Masters Degree. My teaching career started at Southside Elementary where I taught for the last 12 years. In those years, I taught Kindergarten, 2nd and 4th grades. On the weekends you can find me supporting Elko High School sporting events, taking a Sunday drive with my family or reading a good book.
